About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Safety Advocate to join our team at Hope Community Services. As a Safety Advocate, you will play a vital role in supporting and advocating for women and children who are experiencing family violence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accept referrals and conduct intake and risk/needs assessments to ensure comprehensive support services are provided.
  • Develop and implement case management strategies to support women and their children in maintaining safety.
  • Build trust with clients and provide one-on-one support where needed, engaging them in their journey towards safety.
  • Facilitate access to a wide range of information, services, and resources to empower clients in their recovery.
  • Make seamless referrals to other support services as required, ensuring a coordinated approach to client care.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reports, adhering to the Western Australian Family and Domestic Violence Common Risk Assessment and Risk Management Framework.
About You

We are looking for an individual with a strong passion for supporting vulnerable communities. To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A social service degree or diploma, or significant relevant experience in the field.
  • Cultural skills, knowledge, and networks to effectively engage with diverse communities.
  • Knowledge and experience working with family violence, including experience working with men who use violence and survivors of family violence.
