Midwifery Specialist

The Royal Prince Alfred Hospital provides a comprehensive midwifery care service for pregnant women and their families during the prenatal, intrapartum, postnatal periods.

  • Midwives offer antenatal care starting at 14 weeks gestation.
  • Intrapartum care is provided in the Birth Centre or Delivery Unit.
  • Postnatal care is extended to 14 days post-birth.

A valid driver's license is preferred. Midwives must be committed to providing intervention-free births.

Ideal Candidate:
  • Certified midwifery registration with AHPRA is required.
  • Prior experience in person-centred care and NSW Health Core Values is essential.
  • A current NSW Driver's Licence (P1 and P2 acceptable) is highly preferred.
  • Ability to participate in a seven-day roster is necessary.
