Emergency Department General Practitioner Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Practitioner to fill this critical position within our emergency department. The successful candidate will possess excellent clinical skills, strong leadership abilities, and the capacity to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality patient care and lead a team of medical professionals in delivering exceptional healthcare services
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to drive improved patient outcomes and enhance the overall quality of care
  • Supervise and mentor junior medical staff, fostering their growth and development as healthcare professionals

Requirements:

  • Current registration with the Medical Board of Australia and relevant postgraduate qualifications in general practice or emergency medicine
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with colleagues and patients alike
  • Ability to think critically and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations, prioritizing patient safety and well-being above all else

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in an emergency department, preferably in a leadership capacity
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with a proven track record of driving teams towards achieving common goals
  • Familiarity with relevant legislation and regulations governing healthcare practices in Australia
