Job RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for providing nursing care and comprehensive mental health services to individuals with mental illness or disorders. The approach will be least intrusive, collaborative, recovery-oriented, and inclusive of nominated carers and families.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver high-quality nursing care and comprehensive mental health services to individuals with mental illness or disorders.
- Collaborate with consumers and carers to develop and implement individualised care plans.
- Utilise evidence-based, rehabilitative practices that promote self-advocacy, empowerment, and support optimal independent functioning.
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the relevant authority.
- Demonstrated skills in mental health assessments and interventions, and experience working with people with mental illness.
- Ability to collaborate meaningfully with consumers and carers, with a commitment to recovery principles in mental health service provision.
- Working knowledge of NSW Mental Health Act, 2007.
- Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
