Project Digital Engineering Lead

We are seeking an experienced Digital Engineering Project Lead to join our Water team at WSP Global Inc. This is an exciting opportunity to drive future-ready digital engineering solutions and be responsible for driving BIM strategies across our SA portfolio.
Key Responsibilities- Preparing and managing the Digital Engineering Execution Plan (DEXP) and ensuring all DE processes and deliverables are compliant with the project Scope of Works and the project digital/information requirements
- Responsible for validation and handover of project digital/information during the project lifecycle
- Attending design, commercial and project management meetings on projects
- Responsible for driving project digital/information strategy and requirements/standards
- Responsible for deployment and management of the Information strategy/data governance/data security (CDE)
- Assisting the development of systems which enable information to be linked between various sources
- Auditing design & drafting processes to improve delivery efficiency and effectiveness
- Tracking deliverables to completion through digital monitoring methods and providing progress information to the Design Management team
- Working with clients and contractors to enable the model to be used for DE tasks in line with project requirements (eg construction staging, facilities management etc)
- Responsible for all DE quality, governance, project program and compliance
- Managing project resources for DE coordination, CAD management, GIS management and visualisation
- Collaboration with the project sustainability teams, integrating sustainability into the project's digital engineering processes
- Reviewing continuous improvement of digital engineering practices and processes for compliance and competitive advantage
- Work collaboratively with colleagues from all parts of the WSP business
- Bachelor's Degree or Associate Degree in Engineering or equivalent
- Experience in leading BIM for a discipline(s), infrastructure or water experience an advantage
- Accreditation in relevant information management systems/processes (ISO19650 and CDEs)
- Proven ability to prepare quality execution / management plans
- High level verifiable discipline coordination skills
- Commercial awareness/acumen
- Skilled at collaborative working, have good interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- In-depth knowledge of national codes and classification schemes and how they apply to DE delivery
- Client focused and a high level of relationship management skills
- Experience of supervising teams of staff including developing/mentoring junior staff
- Balances innovation, quality and technical excellence with delivery to timelines and budget
- Open to, and actions feedback
