The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting effective planning, building, and local government systems, facilitating the drafting and introduction of legislative initiatives, providing high-level specialist legislative and policy advice to the Minister and senior management team, and supporting the strategic vision of the organization.

- Promote an effective planning, building, and local government system that ensures policy and procedural certainty for proponents and the community.">
- Facilitate the drafting and introduction of legislative initiatives to support the Planning and Land Use Services Division.">
- Provide high-level specialist legislative and policy advice to the Minister, Chief Executive, State Planning Commission (and its Committees), and the Department's senior management team on complex matters of significance to South Australia.">
- Support and drive the strategic vision of the organization, contributing to the identification and management of future strategic initiatives and existing projects through regular business planning.">
Required Skills and Qualifications:
">The successful candidate must have demonstrated knowledge of Government, Cabinet and Public Service administration processes, communication protocols and practices. They must also have significant experience and knowledge in the review and/or formulation of legislation or regulations. High level organisational skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines within an environment of limited direction and change are also essential. A recognised degree or post graduate qualification in the discipline of law, urban and regional planning, or building and construction (or related disciplines) is required.
