Procurement Specialist Role

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will lead and collaborate with our experienced procurement professionals to align our strategic purchasing and procurement plan with broader business objectives.

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving cost efficiencies, improving procurement processes, and enhancing our purchasing strategy by identifying opportunities for continuous optimisation.

You will also source reliable suppliers, foster key partnerships, and oversee tenders, proposals, and contract negotiations to maximise value.

In addition, you will establish and manage preferred supplier panels and centralised contracts for key categories, conduct technical and business analysis, and provide meaningful information to key stakeholders on purchasing trends.

You will standardise purchasing practices across sites, uphold contractual terms, and implement regular evaluation of suppliers and procurement agreements.

Furthermore, you will manage contractor compliance, coordinate Modern Slavery and Greenhouse gas emissions activities, including annual reporting and legislative compliance.

As a senior leader, you will support internal stakeholders and users with procurement tools, systems support, templates, and training, and lead, coach, and mentor a small team of procurement professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and ethical practice.
