General Labourer Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting tradesmen, managing facilities subcontractors and ensuring the safe operation of plant and equipment.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist tradesmen with general hand duties
  • Manage and coordinate facilities subcontractors
  • Maintain stock levels and ensure all plant and equipment is functional, compliant and safe
  • Liaise with contractors undertaking work on/in the facility
  • Monitor and manage the replenishment of gas and fuel stocks on site
  • Maintain housekeeping of the facility, including presentation of new and used sales stock
  • Load/unload machines for transport

About You:

  • A trade/maintenance background is an advantage but not essential
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and responsibilities
  • Good organisational skills
  • Can-do approach and flexibility
  • Current driver's license
  • Sound judgment is advantageous, but not essential
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and be self-motivated
