About the Role
The Relief Explosives Operator will be responsible for operating an Open Cut MPU in a safe and efficient manner to provide a quality product for blasting at the site. This role will involve the delivery of emulsion-based explosives in alignment with the services supplied on site.
Key Responsibilities
- Safe and efficient operation of a MPU for the purpose of manufacturing explosives.
- Delivery of emulsion-based explosives in alignment with the contracted services supplied on site.
- Basic maintenance on all on-site equipment.
- Completion of all required paperwork.
Requirements
- Operational experience as a qualified Explosives Operator or demonstrated equipment operation experience on an active blast bench.
- Qld HR Driver's License (Essential) Open or B Condition.
- Standard 11/Qld Security Clearance Card/Forklift (HRWL) Licence (desirable).
- RII Qualification in Mobile Mixing Explosives.
- Excellent communication skills, supportive team member with a positive attitude and flexibility to work across varying sites.
- Good computer literacy, and aptitude to learn and use site-specific software.
