The Employment Mentor is a full-time role that requires strong time management, initiative, and follow-through. You will work across the full employment lifecycle, identifying participant goals and barriers, facilitating job-readiness training, supporting employers in creating the right environment for success, and providing regular post-placement follow-up.
This varied and hands-on role includes:
- Delivering one-on-one and group training to build job readiness
- Supporting participants to overcome practical barriers such as transport, documentation, and confidence
- Building and maintaining relationships with referral partners and support services
- Actively identifying and engaging with employers across various industries
- Ensuring alignment between employer needs and participant capacity, and supporting both throughout the placement
- Providing post-placement mentoring, regular check-ins, and issue resolution
- Monitoring outcomes and contributing to reporting and ongoing program development
You will have clear expectations and structured goals, with regular support from your manager to help you stay on track and deliver meaningful outcomes.

A current driver's licence and willingness to travel across sites are essential. A valid Working with Children Check and a recent police check will also be required.
