About the Role
Service Stream is seeking a skilled Control Room Operator to join our Transportation team in delivering exciting projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing 24-hour monitoring and control room operations to ensure the asset remains free of hazards and maintains a high level of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform duties of the Control Room Operator in the 24-hour 7-day week operation of the control room
- Monitor the asset and identify congestion using surveillance systems
- Initiate incident and emergency response processes in accordance with policies, plans, and procedures
- Report and document all incidents, collisions, complaints, and equipment failures
- Actively monitor and respond to alarms associated with ITS systems
- Proactively manage all relevant KPIs for the Peninsula Link Control Room
- Provide support on other activities where applicable with the opportunity of further training
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, excellent documentation skills, and high-level problem-solving skills, including the ability to proactively develop innovative solutions to problems.
Requirements
- Ability to work on a 24/7 rotating shift basis (12hr shift)
- Experience working in a Control Room or similar environment
- Ability to work as an individual and in a team
- Good computer skills
- Current and Valid Australian Driver's license
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to work independently at times due to rotating shift work
