
Technical Systems Architect

The Platform Technical Lead is a pivotal role that demands strong leadership and technical prowess to elevate the existing platform and deliver enhancements and improvements.
This individual will collaborate closely with the project team, interact with the technical team, and lead the development work to achieve success in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Adopt the Scrum Development Methodology for all software development projects
- Collaborate with technical and business area staff to facilitate swift issue resolution
- Guide development teams through workload allocation, mentoring, and advising on agile development processes
- Develop and maintain system development schedules to ensure milestones and timelines are met
- Communicate outcomes effectively to product owners and establish a basis for future practice
- Track sprint progress and identify any divergence from allocated tasks
- Oversee and present system showcases to various stakeholders
- Manage the product backlog in collaboration with the Product Owner
- Run daily, weekly, and monthly rituals effectively and efficiently
- Proactively and reactively identify and clear organisational roadblocks and interferences
- Facilitate development across stakeholder groups within AEC
- Perform additional duties or assume responsibility for functions as directed
Mandatory skills and qualifications include:
- Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, and mentor a development team
- Proven hands-on technical lead experience working across the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
- Agile processes knowledge and experience, including estimation and planning
- Backend development experience using web API and SQL technologies
- Extensive experience with GIT version control and working across multiple reports
- Demonstrated experience leading teams using an agile methodology
- Experience in technical analysis and design
- Ability to implement integration requirements and perform end-to-end solution designs
- Knowledge and experience in successfully setting priorities and delivering quality results
- Proven ability to communicate effectively and anticipate stakeholder needs
- Demonstrated ability to manage staff and develop capabilities
Highly desirable skills and qualifications include:
- Relevant qualifications in IT, including cloud certification
- Experience with Dynamics 365 and workflow integration development
- Demonstrated knowledge of IT frameworks, such as ITIL and TOGAF
- Demonstrated knowledge of Commonwealth frameworks, including ICT frameworks
- A willingness to undergo security vetting at the Negative Vetting NV1 level
Australian citizens with or able to pass baseline security clearance (and be willing to undergo NV1 clearance)
