CELTA Tutor

A highly skilled and experienced CELTA Tutor is required to deliver high-quality English language programs to international students at RMIT University. As a key member of the RMIT English Worldwide (REW) team, you will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging and effective CELTA programs, both full-time and part-time, in accordance with Cambridge English requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality CELTA programs to international students, ensuring excellent academic outcomes and student satisfaction.
• Design and develop engaging and effective learning materials, incorporating digital learning and teaching strategies.
• Provide ongoing support and guidance to students, ensuring they meet the requirements of the CELTA program.
• Collaborate with the REW team to develop and implement academic programs, ensuring alignment with RMIT's strategic objectives.
• Contribute to the development of the REW team, sharing expertise and best practices in English language teaching and learning.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in a relevant field (e.g., Applied Linguistics, TESOL, Education).
• Recognized TESOL qualifications and experience, satisfying ELICOS National Standards and other relevant regulatory requirements.
• Trained CELTA Tutor, approved by Cambridge Assessment English.
• Current Working with Children Clearance.
• Significant experience in teaching English for Academic Purposes, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality programs.
• Demonstrated ability to teach across a range of levels and programs, with a focus on digital learning and teaching.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and stakeholders.
• Strong organizational, administrative, and time management skills, ensuring timely completion of teaching-related tasks.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a commitment to continuous professional development.

Desirable:

• Ability to take on Main Course Tutor role.
• TESOL experience in a range of contexts, including offshore.
• Teacher training experience.
• Qualifications at post-graduate diploma level or higher in Applied Linguistics, TESOL, or Education.
• Qualifications and experience in digital curriculum and/or assessment design and development.
