Role Overview

The role of an Analytics and Business Intelligence Specialist involves supporting the development and maintenance of data warehouses and business intelligence solutions to ensure timely access to relevant data and analytics.

This specialist will be responsible for handling ad hoc requests, recommending data-driven solutions, and implementing complex data structures and business intelligence solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Handle various requests and recommend data-driven solutions to address data questions, information, problems, and reports.
  • Design, implement, and continuously improve complex data structures, data models, and business intelligence solutions.
  • Work within an agile development framework as coordinated by the manager.
  • Participate in data and analytics projects as needed.
  • Identify opportunities for optimization and automation.
  • Coordinate, develop, and maintain documentation on data products and solutions.
  • Create data and analytics solutions from prototype to production status.
Successful Candidates
  • Hold a tertiary level qualification in data analytics or a related field (or relevant experience).
  • Demonstrate technical skills in data warehousing, business intelligence, semantic data modeling, ETL processing, SQL, and scripting across a modern enterprise data system environment.
  • Display ability to problem-solve, understand, and process data from complex structures and multiple sources to achieve desired analytics and BI objectives.
  • Manage expectations through effective prioritization and delivery.
  • Have demonstrated experience in a similar role.
