About the Role

The Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission (ACIC) is seeking highly skilled Intelligence Analysts to join our team. As an Intelligence Analyst, you will play a critical role in combating Transnational Serious and Organised Crime. Your expertise will be utilised to develop, plan, collect, and produce unique and incisive intelligence products that drive ACIC intelligence activities and support partner agency operational outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement intelligence projects involving research and analysis, high-level problem-solving, and strategic thinking.
  • Collaborate with other professionals in police, border, regulatory, and intelligence agencies in Australia and overseas.
  • Contribute to the development of intelligence products that are responsive to partner and stakeholder agency needs.
  • Work across various threat areas, including illicit drugs, money laundering, cybercrime, government fraud, and encrypted criminal communications.
Requirements
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or thematic knowledge of serious and organised crime.
  • Hold or ability to obtain a minimum national security clearance Negative Vetting Level 1.
  • Ability to complete the ACIC Criminal Intelligence Development Program.
Eligibility
  • Citizenship: To be eligible for employment with the ACIC, applicants must be an Australian citizen.
  • Security Clearance: The Australian community expects ACIC employees to maintain the highest levels of security and integrity. Successful applicants will be required to obtain and maintain a minimum Negative Vetting 1 security clearance.
  • Pre-Employment Screening: All candidates must satisfy an Organisational Suitability Assessment (OSA) prior to being offered employment at the ACIC.
