- We're seeking an experienced VCE English teacher to join our team.
- The successful applicant will have experience teaching Years 11 & 12 English and be committed to delivering high-quality lessons that engage students and promote learning.
- The role involves designing and implementing learning programs, using effective teaching strategies to integrate ICT, and providing timely feedback to students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing and implementing learning programs using knowledge of curriculum, assessment, and reporting requirements
- Developing teaching activities that incorporate differentiated strategies to meet student needs
- Using effective teaching strategies to integrate ICT into learning programs
- Planning and implementing well-structured learning programs or lesson sequences that engage students and promote learning
- Selecting and using relevant teaching strategies to develop student knowledge, skills, problem-solving, and critical thinking
- Establishing and maintaining orderly routines to create a productive learning environment
- Providing timely, effective feedback to students about their achievement relative to learning goals
Selection Criteria:
- Essential: Experience teaching VCE English (Years 11 & 12)
- Understanding of appropriate behaviours when engaging with children
- Professional practice aligned with The Woodleigh Teacher expectations
Desirable:
- Experience designing, implementing, and assessing effective curriculum
- Capacity to teach English Literature
Conditions of Employment:
- VIT Registration required for this position
- Qualification and First Aid Training confirmation required for this position
