The Role
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Caregiver to join our team at Edward Collick Home in Kalgoorlie. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, social, emotional, and spiritual needs are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Support residents' physical, social, emotional, and spiritual well-being through individualized care delivery
- Assist with residents' care needs in line with their care plan
- Collaborate with team members to promote a harmonious working environment
- Support and advocate the rights of older people
- Assist with personal hygiene, showering, and toileting
- Assist with activities of daily living, dressing, and grooming
- Assist at mealtimes, including feeding
- Administer medication
About You
We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Caregiver who is passionate about delivering high-quality care and support to older individuals. You will be responsible for building strong, positive relationships with our residents and their families, and for delivering care with compassion, integrity, and dignity.
Essential Criteria
- Certificate III in Aged Care or other relevant qualification
- Valid Police Clearance no older than 6 months (or ability to obtain at interview stage)
- NDIS Screen Check (or willingness to obtain at interview stage)
- Experience within the Aged Care industry
- Previous experience administering medications
- Evidence of current Flu and Covid Vaccinations
- Effective communication skills and the ability to develop understanding relationships with residents
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical
- Available to attend a compulsory 1-week (Monday to Friday) induction
