About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HSE Officer to join our team at Neumann Steel. As a key member of our HSEQ team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and environmental performance of our Distribution Network.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide operational HSE support to our network, including regular travel to our Service Centres across QLD and NSW.
  • Assist in the development and review of HSE-related procedures, forms, and processes to ensure industry best practice and aligned standardization.
  • Engage with and support internal Buddy Trainers & Assessors, as required.
  • Lead and record regular safety walks, task observations, hazard identification, internal audits, and other HSEQ-related assurance activities.
  • Participate in incident investigations and ensure quality standards of incident findings and timely corrective action management.
  • Facilitate department-level and task-based risk assessments, including operational risk register reviews.
Requirements
  • Minimum Certificate IV in WHS.
  • Minimum of C Class Provisional Driver's license.
  • Incident investigation training/experience (i.e., 5-Why, ICAM methodology).
  • Appropriate experience or other qualifications relevant to the given role.
  • Sound knowledge of production planning.
  • Highly organized with time management skills.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to ensure excellent attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • A team player with a positive nature and can-do attitude.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Cert IV Trainer & Assessor or equivalent skillset.
  • Previously worked within the steel reinforcing industry desirable.
