**Quick overview of the role** Reporting to the HSE Supervisor, this is a key role for contributing towards standardised and effective operational health, safety and environmental performance across our Distribution Network (Service Centres) located in Currumbin, Capalaba, Caloundra, Hervey Bay and Thornton.

This is primarily an operational/in-field support role based in our NSW Service Centre in Thornton. You will regularly travel between our five Service Centres across QLD and NSW to proactively engage with workers on HSEQ related matters, providing technical advice and compliance support in line with related legislation, codes, standards and our company’s integrated management system.

**What will you be doing?**
- Regular travel to all company service centres providing operational HSE support to our network
- Assist to provide training and practical support with HSE-related management systems and proactively initiate and consult to implement system and process improvements
- Engage with, and support Networks internal Buddy Trainers & Assessors, as required
- Assist to lead and record regular safety walks, task observations, hazard identification, internal audits, and other HSEQ-related assurance activities across the Networks, including assisting with external audits
- Participate in, or lead incident investigations and ensure quality standards of incident findings and timely corrective action management
- Assist to facilitate department-level and task-based risk assessments, including operational risk register reviews.
- Work closely with our HSEQ Team based in our head office in Currumbin
- Minimum Certificate IV in WHS
- Minimum of C Class Provisional Driver’s license
- Incident investigation training/experience (i.e., 5-Why, ICAM methodology)
- Appropriate experience or other qualifications relevant to the given role
- Sound knowledge of production planning
- Highly organised with time management skills
- Ability to ensure excellent attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
- A team player with a positive nature and can-do attitude
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Cert IV Trainer & Assessor or equivalent skillset
- Previously worked within the steel reinforcing industry desirable
- Ability to travel to our interstate branches on a regular basis
