The Role

As a Sales Assistant at JD Sports, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service that creates a memorable shopping experience and a lasting positive connection to our brand. Your mission is to act as a brand ambassador, showing positivity and professionalism at all times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide personalized assistance to customers, answering their queries and processing sales.
  • Product Knowledge: Gain and maintain up-to-date product knowledge to best assist our customers.
  • Teamwork: Work in collaboration with the wider Management and store team to achieve KPIs and targets.
  • Ad Hoc Tasks: Support the wider team with tasks such as visual merchandising, store cleanliness, and presentation.
  • Escalation: Escalate any customer complaints to management.
  • Training: Consistently complete any mandatory training relevant to product, policy, and procedure.

  • Customer Service Experience: Previous experience in customer-facing roles, such as retail or hospitality.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage with customers and work as part of a team.
  • Positive Attitude: A positive can-do attitude, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility: Flexibility to work across various shifts, including weekends and holidays, based on store needs.
