The Role

This position supports and develops clinical skills of staff, fostering a preceptor/mentor role. The incumbent will develop, coordinate, and evaluate educational programs for unit-based training; assessment and demonstration of clinical procedures.

  • A patient-centric culture that empowers healthcare professionals to provide innovative models of care and adapt to change.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To enhance the capacity of staff to deliver safe, evidence-based care through participation methodology.
  • Foster a patient-centric culture within the emergency department.
  • Contribute to overall improvement of healthcare service delivery.

Suitable candidates must possess:

  • Current nursing registration with the relevant regulatory body.
  • Relevant post-registration experience, extensive knowledge of Emergency Department policy and procedure, and models of care.
  • Competence to work in all areas of a tertiary emergency department.

This recruitment may be used to create a talent pool for similar future roles (ongoing or temporary) in the next 18 months.
