The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and client-focused Electrical/Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Melbourne office and play a key role in delivering innovative electrical design solutions for some of the most exciting building projects in Australia.

Working across various sectors such as Data Centres/Critical Systems, Commercial, Aviation, Education, Healthcare, Master planning, and retail, you will have the opportunity to work with a team of expert engineers and technicians and collaborate closely with colleagues from various disciplines to manage the delivery of technically excellent, profitable projects.

You will develop new and nurture existing outstanding client relationships that maximize satisfaction and ensure repeat business, using your wealth of expertise and determination to manage, motivate, and inspire less experienced engineers.

The role also provides an opportunity to work closely with our APAC/Global based teams and will provide growth in business development and work winning to support career development.

By joining Cundall, the role provides the ability to tap into Cundall's global knowledge network of engineering professionals located in our 26 worldwide offices.

The Skills
  • Educated to degree level in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering (MEng or BEng)
  • Substantial experience in an Electrical Engineering role within a building services context (electrical distribution and power generation, lighting design, etc.)
  • Well-versed in the use of relevant design software, including Power CAD and ideally, AGI
  • Experience delivering BIM projects is beneficial but not essential
  • Critical systems or Data Centre experience is highly regarded
  • Proven ability in producing low energy, creative design solutions, preparing specifications and project reports, carrying out site inspections and surveys, and detail design development
  • Excellent communication skills and experience of using your initiative to overcome challenges
  • CPEng, NER, and Registered Professional Engineer is desirable
