Clark Wood, a specialist recruitment consultancy in the UK Public Practice Accountancy & Tax sectors, is working with a leading firm in Tamworth.

The firm is looking for an ambitious and driven Personal Tax Manager or Senior Manager to join their team.

As a Personal Tax Manager, you will work closely with partners to ensure the efficient provision of technical services to prestigious clients based across the region.

You will form an integral part of the firm's personal tax team and manage your own client portfolio in a mixed compliance and advisory capacity.

You will oversee Tax Seniors and Trainees within the team, reviewing their work and providing support and guidance as necessary.

The ideal candidate may be ATT or CTA Qualified and have a wealth of experience in Personal Tax.

This opportunity allows the successful individual to join a well-regarded and forward-thinking firm in Tamworth where they will undertake a role with excellent responsibility and autonomy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing tax compliance processes for a portfolio of clients to ensure timely tax returns and client advice on tax payments
  • Involvement with tax advisory projects including IHT planning, share incentive schemes, business acquisitions and sales
  • Reviewing personal tax returns and computations
  • Reviewing trust tax returns and capital gains tax returns
  • Preparation of complex tax computations and returns
  • Dealing with tax enquiries
  • Conducting technical research
  • Delegating work to tax team and mentoring trainees
  • Responsible for commercial delivery of tax work, including fee quotes and recoveries
  • Preparation of corporation tax computations for larger group company clients and more complex standalone company clients
  • Input into development of corporation tax processes and procedures

Requirements:

  • ATT Qualified / CTA Qualified
  • Strong Personal Tax experience within a practice environment is essential
