State Taxes Specialist

The State Taxes team works on significant transactions in the market, providing expert advice to clients across various industries.

As a member of this team, you will be exposed to a wide range of tasks and work directly with clients, developing your skills and expertise.

  • Tax Due Diligence – Assist in identifying tax exposures and assessing risks for clients.
  • Structuring – Advise on the duty consequences of mergers, acquisitions, and restructures.
  • Post-Deal Implementation – Identify duty obligations and prepare submissions for lodgements and applications.
  • Advisory – Conduct tax research and provide advice on tax planning opportunities.
  • Updates – Stay up-to-date with developments in state taxes and participate in training.

You will build relationships with clients in the infrastructure, property, energy, and natural resources, financial services, and funds industries, providing valued advice and assistance.

Requirements

To be considered for this opportunity, you should have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Law, Accounting, Commerce, or Economics.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a client-facing environment and drive individual development.
  • Personal initiative and willingness to take responsibility for your work.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
