Job Summary

We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Animal Attendants at our Melbourne boarding sites.

As a leading pet care provider, we pride ourselves on delivering the highest standards of care and enrichment to our furry guests.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about animals, energetic, committed, and able to work in a physically demanding environment.

  • Providing food, water, and general care for pets in our boarding facilities
  • Conducting health checks and ensuring animal welfare
  • Supervising and managing the behaviors of groups of dogs
  • Providing enrichment through structured play and activities
  • Cleaning and maintaining the facility to uphold high standards of hygiene and safety
  • Building relationships with pet owners and creating photo and video content
  • Managing administrative tasks such as answering enquiries and record keeping
Key Responsibilities

Primary Duties:

  • Provide exceptional care to pets in our boarding facilities
  • Ensure the well-being of animals by conducting regular health checks
  • Manage and supervise dog behavior in group settings
  • Plan and implement enrichment activities to stimulate animal growth
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment within the facility
  • Develop strong relationships with pet owners and create engaging content
  • Oversee administrative tasks including responding to inquiries and maintaining records
Requirements

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Flexible availability between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm, Monday to Sunday
  • Availability during school holiday periods (including Christmas and Easter)
  • Confident handling of dogs of all sizes and managing their behavior
  • Able to work in a physically demanding environment with attention to detail
  • Comfortable following routines and adhering to policies and procedures
  • Strong communication skills and a focus on customer service
  • Previous experience working with animals is preferred but not essential
