The Human Resources Officer - Payroll Specialist will be responsible for providing expert payroll support to the organization, ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee payments. This role will also involve working closely with the finance team to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Award Interpretation and Payroll Administration: Interpret and apply relevant awards and agreements to ensure accurate payroll processing.
  • HR Administration and Payroll Experience: Provide administrative support to the HR team, including maintaining accurate records and databases.
  • Employee Engagement and Support: Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding payroll and benefits, providing excellent customer service and support.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Work closely with the payroll and finance team to ensure seamless processing of payroll and related tasks.
  • Administrative Support: Manage administrative processes for documents, databases, and online systems, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Performance Management and Employee Relations: Support the performance management process, providing guidance on employee relations matters and performance improvement plans.

Requirements
  • 2-4 years of HR experience with business partner responsibilities in a mid-large organization.
  • Strong understanding of payroll processes and HRIS systems.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills are required.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure are essential.
  • Australian work rights are required.
