Job Title: Retail Operations DirectorAbout the RoleThe Retail Operations Director will be responsible for leading and inspiring a diverse team to execute the organisation's vision and strategic goals. This includes overseeing daily operations, analysing performance metrics, and executing the company's vision and brand strategy in communication with internal and external stakeholders.
This role requires a strong leader who can drive initiatives for growth and development of the brand, while also promoting a positive and high-performance culture. The successful candidate will have experience in soft goods (textiles and/or apparel) and a deep passion for retail, product, sales, service, people, and delivering sustainable results.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Strategic Direction: Lead and inspire a diverse team to execute the organisation's vision and strategic goals.
- Operational Management: Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency in stores, production, planning, and marketing.
- Strategic Communication: Execute the company's vision and brand strategy in communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Team Oversight and Development: Provide guidance, support, and professional development to your team, ensuring they are aligned with the company's strategic goals and brand vision.
- Culture and Engagement: Actively promote a positive and high-performance culture, engaging employees to maintain morale and ensure an enjoyable work environment.

Requirements- Proven senior-level experience in a 'like for like' role within a small to medium retail organisation.
- A variety of industry backgrounds will be considered, although experience in soft goods (textiles and/or apparel) is highly desirable.
- A deep passion for retail, product, sales, service, people, and delivering sustainable results.
- Experience in articulating a clear vision and creating a strong retail sales and service culture.
- A customer-centric mentality and a retailer at heart.
- A leadership style that naturally listens, learns, and builds relationships.
- Sound business acumen and experience managing significant P&Ls.
- A non-hierarchical approach and a commitment to teamwork.
We offer a competitive salary range of AU$120,000 - AU$150,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, plus superannuation and other benefits.
