We are seeking a dedicated and passionate educator to join our education team as a Virtual Academy Educator. As part of our innovative education network, we lead and manage a vibrant community supporting the education of students.

About the Role

  • Lead colleagues to support and improve outcomes for High Potential Gifted (HPG) students through evidence-based best practices.
  • Evaluate and revise learning programs to meet the needs of HPG students and underrepresentative groups.
  • Guide the effective use of technology and digital resources to enhance learning opportunities.
  • Plan and provide professional learning opportunities focusing on teaching HPG learners.
  • Implement systematic processes for identifying and profiling HPG learners and ensuring equitable access and support.
  • Build and maintain respectful relationships with parents and community representatives.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Demonstrate a commitment to delivering a Catholic perspective across the curriculum.
  • Hold a four-year trained teacher classification with at least five years successful teaching experience and accreditation at proficient level.
  • Possess high-level interpersonal skills with capacity to develop and sustain constructive and respectful relationships.
  • Exhibit excellent organisation, communication and ICT skills.
  • Effectively utilise data to optimise organisational and educational outcomes.

Qualifications and Conditions of Employment

  • Hold qualifications as a four-year trained teacher.
  • Have at least 5 years of teaching experience.
  • Be actively NESA accredited.
  • Hold a current paid NSW Working with Children Check number.
  • Complete anaphylaxis training.
