Junior Hydrogeologist Job

Our company is seeking a Junior Hydrogeologist to join our team of experts in the field of hydrology and hydrogeology. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting routine integrated monitoring programs, including groundwater, surface water, soils, and air quality sampling.

  • You will work closely with experienced professionals to develop your skills and knowledge in groundwater monitoring, sampling, and analysis.
  • In this role, you will have the opportunity to perform field studies, such as hydrogeological site investigations, drilling programs, monitoring bore installations, and hydraulic testing.
  • Your responsibilities will also include preparing high-quality factual reports based on field and laboratory data collected for or provided by clients.
Requirements
  • You must have either completed a short course in hydrogeology or university qualifications (bachelor degree or higher) in science or engineering, specializing in hydrogeology or a related field.
  • You should have practical experience in the field of hydrogeology, with demonstrated skills in groundwater monitoring and sampling data analysis, groundwater bore drilling and construction, data analysis, and report writing.
  • Theoretical and practical knowledge and skills in groundwater data analysis and interpretation are essential.
  • You must have excellent communication and reporting skills.
  • You may need to travel domestically and remotely to undertake monitoring projects, often up to a week at a time.
  • Australian citizenship/working rights are required.
