Key Technical Role within Operations Team

This is a crucial position in our Operations Team, where you will contribute to the success of our international IT solution company.

The full-time role based in Canberra requires a Solution Engineer who can design, configure, install, and support C4 products in customer environments. As part of our team, you will be responsible for delivering and supporting these solutions with exceptional technical expertise.

Reporting directly to our Project Manager, your key responsibilities include managing software installation, configuration, and support for use in tests, training, exercises, and actual operations. Additionally, you will manage setup and testing of integrations between C41 software products and coalition systems, sensors, effectors, and communication systems.

Our ideal candidate possesses a degree in Computer Science or Engineering and has experience in software development technologies such as Java, C#, JavaScript. Furthermore, they have experience with IT infrastructure and platforms like Windows, Linux, Android-based operating systems, Active Directory, database management systems, and XMPP chat. Having knowledge of administrating and operating military command information systems, tactical radio devices, and radio networks, along with an ITIL certification, is also highly valued.

To work within our Defence business unit, you must hold (or be able to obtain) and maintain a Defence NV1 security clearance. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage software installation, configuration, and support in customer's C4I environments for use in tests, training, exercises, and actual operations.

  • Design, implement, and support technical solutions that meet customer needs.
  • Ensure alignment, effective communication, and coordination between stakeholders.
  • Develop and deliver technical training to customer administrators and users.
  • Provide level 1 and 2 support to customers on C41 software products, installation, integration with other software and equipment, and end-users.
  • Keep up-to-date with C4 software product roadmaps to maximise value for customers.
  • Support projects delivered within agreed scope and on time.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

We prefer candidates with a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar discipline. Experience in software development technologies, IT infrastructure, and platforms is essential. An ITIL certification and knowledge of administrating and operating military command information systems are highly valued.
