We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Policy Director to lead our Operational Policy and Practice team. As a key member of our Strategy and Legal Branch, you will be responsible for delivering high-priority outstanding operational policy and practice changes to support case work and regulatory balance.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to build consensus and drive policy and practice initiatives.
- Ensure that our policies, practice guidance, and templates support high-quality, efficient, and best practice decision-making.
- Develop policy and practice guidance that appropriately manages risk and minimizes regulatory burden for users of the anti-dumping system.
- Provide advice to government stakeholders on anti-dumping policy or practice matters as needed.
- Strong leadership skills and experience driving change, building strong teams, and collaborating with technical experts.
- Strong project management skills, including using systems to manage workflow and risk.
- Strategic thinking to prioritize competing demands and solve complex problems.
- Advanced stakeholder engagement skills with experience communicating influentially to achieve favorable outcomes.
- An understanding of Australia's trade remedies framework or capacity to acquire it quickly.
