About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Community Engagement Coordinator to join our team at the City of Playford. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the coordination and delivery of our inclusive Council events and activations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Event Coordination: Support the delivery of community events, including Australia Day, Community Carols, Anzac Day Service, Citizenship Ceremonies, and other activations.
  • Team Support: Collaborate with the team to conceptualize, plan, and deliver inclusive and accessible events that cater to our diverse community.
  • Logistics Coordination: Assist with the coordination of event logistics, including venue, catering, transportation, VIP guests, and technical provisions.
  • Event Evaluation: Collect and analyze event feedback, applying data insights and sentiment to improve event design and delivery.
  • Procurement: Effectively coordinate procurement activities in accordance with budget requirements.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: A qualification in Events Management or equivalent experience in supporting the success of community events and activations.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer-focused approach, with the ability to develop, nurture, and maintain strong relationships.
  • Time Management: Demonstrated ability to prioritize and work under pressure in dynamic, fast-paced, and challenging environments.
  • Innovative Thinking: Innovative and creative thinking to help stay ahead of the curve and translate ideas into incredible actions.
  • Availability: Availability to work an out-of-hours roster, including weekends and public holidays as required.
