About the Opportunity

Veolia Environmental Services is currently seeking a skilled mechanical tradesperson to join the workshop team based in Brisbane. In this role, you will perform routine and corrective maintenance on our fleet of waste collection vehicles. As part of a close-knit team, you will be responsible for servicing and repairing vehicles to ensure safety, functionality, reliability, and appearance, in line with state and national road transport legislation, and Veolia's heavy vehicle maintenance processes and procedures.

Requirements

  • A mechanical trade qualification (heavy diesel mechanic, diesel fitter, light vehicle mechanic, auto electrician)
  • Experience in the maintenance of a range of heavy vehicles
  • HR licence is a must, MC & FL desirable
  • A safety-focused mentality
  • High attention to detail
  • A team player with a can-do attitude
  • Previous waste industry experience is desirable
