Key Position Summary

Seeking a highly skilled Water Modeller to contribute to the success of our Australian water team, providing strategic planning and support for a diverse range of projects across Australia and the Pacific.

The ideal candidate will be based in Newcastle, with opportunities available in Sydney, Brisbane or Melbourne for those who prefer.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Develop and calibrate hydrological and hydraulic models for water and wastewater networks and resource systems
  • Assess and analyse hydrologic, hydraulic, GIS and survey data
  • Utilise GIS software such as ArcGIS or QGIS
  • Conduct modelling investigations, options assessments, master planning, growth and development studies, and operational design and validation
  • Communicate model development and outcomes with internal and external stakeholders through reporting
Required Expertise

Candidates should possess a strong track record of delivering successful modelling projects within consulting environments, with experience using software such as InfoWorks, MIKE, Source or Wathnet. A solid understanding of water network hydraulics and/or water resource systems is also essential.

A relevant Bachelor's degree, such as Civil or Environmental Engineering, along with at least five years of relevant work experience, is required.

Professional Qualifications

Relevant qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in a related field, combined with extensive professional experience in modelling and project delivery.

Preferred Location

Newcastle-based position available, with alternative locations in Sydney, Brisbane or Melbourne possible for candidates preferring these cities.
