Job Overview:

As a Funeral Director/Embalmer, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of families during their most difficult times.

 

The role involves facilitating funeral arrangements, conducting visitation and funeral services, and ensuring that all mortuary and health regulations are met. This position requires strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with families and ensure their death care needs are met.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate funeral arrangements with deceased next of kin and preside over visitation, funeral, and graveside services
  • Perform embalming responsibilities and care for deceased in a respectful manner
  • Update removal status in proprietary software and verify identification and embalming authorization
  • Prepare event rooms, set up chairs, tables, flowers, guest books, and appropriate décor
  • Interact with families to fulfill death care requests and obtain leads for pre-need services

 

Requirements:

  • Graduated from an accredited school or college of mortuary science
  • Current Funeral Director and Embalmer dual license
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record required to operate company-owned vehicles
