Early Childhood Educator Position

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team of professionals. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational experiences of young children.

Job Description

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about early childhood education and has a passion for creating engaging learning environments. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of child development principles and be able to implement them in their practice. They will also be able to demonstrate effective classroom management techniques and create a positive learning environment that encourages children to explore and learn.

The position requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent time management and organizational skills. You will be responsible for planning and implementing educational programs that cater to the diverse needs of children, including those with special needs.

You will also be required to maintain accurate records of children's progress, communicate regularly with parents, and participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A qualification in Early Childhood Education (Certificate 3 or Diploma) or equivalent
  • Up-to-date first aid, CPR, asthma, and anaphylaxis qualifications
  • A WWCC or EC VIT card
  • Two references from an early childhood setting
  • Enthusiasm and a passion for early childhood education
  • Full day availability
  • Ability to travel to services across Geelong for same-day work
