Procurement Specialist

The role of Procurement Specialist involves facilitating procurement activities, providing guidance and expertise to internal stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with the organization's procurement policy and strategy.
This position requires providing advice, assistance, and support to departments on all aspects of tendering and procurement processes, ensuring probity, fairness, and integrity in all procurement procedures.
The ideal candidate will have well-developed documentation preparation skills, experience in using standard form contracts, analytical skills, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing procurement guidance and expertise to internal stakeholders
- Facilitating all aspects of the tendering and procurement processes
- Ensuring implementation of and compliance with all procurement activities
- Participating in the monitoring and review of procurement and tendering arrangements
About You:
The successful candidate will possess:
- Well-developed documentation preparation skills and experience in using standard form contracts
- Analytical skills and experience in tender evaluation, selection, and contract management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to build rapport with stakeholders
- Adaptable with good problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of finance systems, contract systems, and e-tendering systems
