Leads in Community Services are critical to delivering high-quality, person-centred supports to individuals and communities.

The role of a Community Services Lead is multifaceted, requiring strong leadership skills, excellent communication, and conflict resolution abilities.

Key responsibilities include overseeing community-based programs, ensuring they are culturally safe, outcome-focused, and aligned with participant goals.

This involves leading passionate teams, fostering a positive, inclusive, and professional team culture, and collaborating with other stakeholders to achieve organisational objectives.

The ideal candidate will have leadership experience in disability, mental health, or community services, with a strong knowledge of the NDIS and Quality & Safeguards Commission Standards.

They will possess excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills, as well as proven ability to manage services across multiple sites.

A collaborative leadership style that inspires and motivates teams, combined with high-level organisational skills and ability to prioritise competing demands, is essential for success in this role.

  • Lead community-based programs and ensure they meet cultural safety, outcome-focused, and aligned with participant goals
  • Develop and maintain a positive, inclusive, and professional team culture
  • Monitor service delivery and address participant or stakeholder concerns proactively
  • Ensure compliance with NDIS Quality & Safeguards Commission requirements
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and close service delivery gaps
  • Support staff onboarding, inductions, and buddy shifts in collaboration with People & Culture and Rostering
  • Participate in Out-of-Hours on-call roster (1 weekend every 6 weeks)
