Job Overview">

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team at Weary Dunlop Retirement Village. In this role, you will provide an effective maintenance/preventative maintenance service ensuring the safety, repair and appearance of buildings, equipment, facilities and grounds.

  • Work in a team environment providing a high level of customer service and support to residents and colleagues.
  • Assist residents in their homes with repairs and maintenance tasks as required.
  • Ensure all health and safety policies are adhered to, maintaining a safe working environment for residents, staff and visitors.
Key Responsibilities">

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing maintenance services including but not limited to electrical, plumbing and carpentry work.
  • Conducting regular inspections of village infrastructure and reporting any maintenance or repair issues.
  • Developing and implementing preventative maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime.
Requirements">

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A trade qualification or completion of an apprenticeship in a relevant trade (e.g. electrical, plumbing, carpentry).
  • Previous experience in a maintenance or similar role.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail and a can-do attitude.
  • Proven customer service skills and ability to build rapport with residents.
  • Outstanding communication skills.
  • The ability to work in a team environment or autonomously as required.
