Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our Maintenance Department at Nyrstar Port Pirie. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and plant through breakdown repairs, modifications, and preventative maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out breakdown repairs, modifications, and preventative maintenance activities on all equipment and plant on site
  • Work effectively under pressure as part of a dynamic team
Requirements
  • Relevant Trade Qualification (minimum Certificate III)
  • Heavy industry, mining, smelting or similar experience highly regarded
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work effectively under pressure while being a team player
  • Additional qualifications in Dogging, Rigging, EWP, Confined Space, and Working at Heights also highly regarded

Working Conditions

This is a residential role based in Port Pirie, South Australia, working on a 5/4 roster. This provides a great balance between work and play, with more days off than the usual two-day weekend.

The role offers two weekends off per month, allowing you to enjoy your lifestyle with family and friends while building a successful career.
