The Role

We are seeking an experienced Allied Health Clinician to join our NDIS Inpatient Specialist Team as a Disability Liaison Officer. This is a fixed-term, part-time position (56.2 hours/7-day fortnight) with flexibility to work reduced hours over increased number of days.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert advice and support to patients with disabilities and their families, ensuring access to appropriate healthcare services.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare providers, community organizations, and government agencies.
  • Conduct needs assessments and develop individualized plans to address the unique needs of patients with disabilities.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and delivery.
  • Provide education and training to healthcare staff on disability-related issues and best practices.

Requirements

  • Grade 2 Allied Health Professional with a strong understanding of disability-related issues and the National Disability Insurance Scheme.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to patient-centered care.
  • Ability to travel across sites as required.
