About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Dementia Rehabilitation Specialist in the community. As a key member of our Allied Health Team, you will be responsible for facilitating private therapy for clients living with dementia using a cognitive rehabilitation approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate private therapy sessions for clients living with dementia in the community
  • Enable patients to engage in or manage everyday activities, function optimally, and maintain as much independence as possible
  • Research and develop concepts to reduce anxiety and enhance overall wellbeing for clients
  • Contribute to the goals of each patient and identify areas of difficulty in independent function and day-to-day activities
  • Must have a Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance or Physiotherapy
  • Must have a valid driver's license, vehicle, and be prepared to travel

Requirements

All applicants must have or be willing to obtain a police name check, NDIS Workers Screening Check, and be registered in their relevant discipline. Experience in community care is highly desirable, but full training and onboarding are provided.
