The RoleThis exciting role involves contributing to a strong safety culture, developing productive relationships with various teams, and designing operational improvement projects.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing operational improvement projects to increase plant safety, throughput, recovery, and quality
- Undertaking process plant performance investigations and implementing improvement actions in consultation with operations, engineering, and maintenance teams
- Tertiary qualifications in Metallurgical Engineering or related disciplines
- Experience in minerals processing, preferably at a project or plant metallurgist level
- Previous exposure to the operation of base metal concentrators is desirable
- A clear commitment to safety and experience in safety improvements within minerals processing environments
- Ability to autonomously develop, conduct, and interpret metallurgical test work, plant surveys, and plant trials
- Delivering process improvement projects and modifications, contributing to a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
