Marketing and Communications Coordinator

As a Marketing and Communications Coordinator for Creative Scotland, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of our Tattoo festival. This is a temporary position from 20 May to 29 August, requiring a minimum of 35 hours between 09:00-17:00 daily Monday to Friday.

You will be part of a dynamic team, working closely with the Marketing and Communications team to develop communications strategies as appropriate. Key responsibilities include ensuring all administration of approvals is completed, reviewing content and collateral, and writing communications such as FAQs and social posts.

Key Duties:
  1. Marketing Communications
    • Support the development of communications as required.
    • Ensure efficient administration of approvals.
    • Review content and collateral to ensure high quality.
    • Write engaging communications such as FAQs and social media posts.
  2. Press Accreditation
    • Administer the press accreditation process.
    • Prepare and issue press packs.
    • Coordinate with the Media Liaison Officer on site presence.
    • Maintain accurate records of press coverage.
    • Craft reports highlighting the success of the press visitor programme.
  3. Administration
    • Manage photography and videography assets effectively.
    • Monitor press coverage and record key information.
    • Distribute photographs to stakeholders as needed.
  4. Customer Service
    • Manage the team mailbox, responding to queries promptly.
    • Regularly review social media pages and mailboxes for questions.
    • Respond using agreed answers or draft new answers for the FAQ bank.
    • Escalate potential issues and take the lead on problem-solving.
    • Log complaints to inform business decisions.

This role is based at our Edinburgh office and offers a competitive rate of pay.
