Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Education Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of education programs across our hospitals.

The role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to design, develop and manage the education portfolio, managing a team of educators and ensuring consistent training and education to clinical and non-clinical portfolios.

This is a full-time permanent position working primarily out of our Brisbane CBD office as well as visiting our Hospital locations. This is a hybrid role with flexibility to also work from home.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and implement efficiencies to processes and procedures to enhance the overall hospitals education program offerings.
  • Facilitate the creation of appropriate and cost-effective learning courses to address staff skills gaps in alignment with professional development and risk areas identified.
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders including Clinical Governance and education partners in the development of new programs arising from internal review and audit recommendations.
  • Work with the education team members to transform complex information into highly engaging educational content.
  • Review the effectiveness of our clinical graduate programs, seeking opportunities for improved efficiency.
  • Provide insight and proactively contribute to policy development as required.
  • Maintain effective networks and partnering relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, representing UnitingCare Hospitals in internal groups and external organisations.
  • Provide people management and leadership to the education team members.
  • Engage and motivate team members to ensure organisational and team goals are appropriately achieved.
  • Lead and develop others through coaching, feedback and regular connections.
