Site Cleaner Job

This is a casual contract role where you will be responsible for ensuring that designated work sites or areas remain clean, safe, and organised. The Site Cleaner will perform a range of cleaning and maintenance tasks to support the efficient and safe operation of the site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Site Cleaning: Clean and sanitise designated areas as required. Remove debris, trash, and hazardous materials from the site. Sweep and mop and to also clean and disinfect surfaces and equipment.
  • Waste Management: Properly dispose of waste and recycling materials in compliance with local regulations. Empty and maintain trash receptacles and recycling bins.
  • Outdoor Cleaning (if applicable): Maintain outdoor areas, including walkways, and outdoor equipment.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe environment. Report any safety hazards or concerns to the supervisor.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Inspect and maintain cleaning equipment, tools, and supplies. Report any malfunction or damage for repairs or replacements.
  • Inventory Management: Keep track of cleaning supplies and request replenishments as needed. Maintain an organised inventory of cleaning materials.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Maintain records of cleaning activities, inspections, and maintenance tasks. Document any incidents or issues on-site and report them to management.
  • Environmental Awareness: Ensure proper disposal of hazardous materials and chemicals. Promote eco-friendly cleaning practices and waste reduction.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in cleaning or maintenance is preferred.
  • Knowledge of cleaning techniques, materials, and equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
  • Physical fitness and the ability to lift and move heavy objects if required.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and safety.
  • Valid and recent police check. ABN.

Job Types: Casual, Contract

Pay: $25.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • Evening shift
  • Every weekend
  • Monday to Friday
  • Night shift
  • On call
