Role Overview

As a key member of our team, the Reconciliation Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations. This position is responsible for reconciling daily and monthly transactions, analyzing discrepancies, and resolving issues in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transaction Processing: Process finance rentals, terminations, and final settlements transactions to various financiers within the lease portfolio and other 3rd party payments.
  • Urgent Funding Requests: Process urgent funding requests and communicate with relevant financiers.
  • Daily New Business Applications Review: Review, correct, and communicate daily new business applications to financiers.
  • Discrepancy Analysis: Analyze and investigate discrepancies between SG Fleet systems and financier systems, including arrears investigations.
  • Lease Changes: Update financiers on lease changes, including restructures and extensions.
  • Error Resolution: Liaise with internal parties and financier contacts to resolve errors or complete transactions as required.
  • Suspense GL Accounts: Reconcile suspense GL accounts as appropriate.
  • Month End Reports: Prepare month end BS reconciliation reports.
Requirements
  • Reconciliation Experience: Previous reconciliation or general ledger experience.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to solve problems and follow through to complete resolution.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced Excel and macros skills, ability to work with multiple systems.
  • Customer Service: Proven customer service and communication skills.
  • Organisational Skills: Excellent organisational and time management skills with an ability to prioritise.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong technical/numerical skills and knowledge, thorough and accurate.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Financial Accounting Experience: Experienced in financial/management accounting, part-CPA/CA.
  • Leasing Products Experience: Experience with leasing products or banking industry.
  • Analytical Skills: Analytical skills on financial or management reports, desire for continuous process improvements to gain better efficiency.
