About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Tyre Fitter to work on a permanent employment opportunity.

  • Remove and fit rims and wheel assemblies on heavy earthmoving mining equipment as required.
  • Remove and refit tyres and wheel assemblies on heavy earthmoving mining equipment as required.
  • Perform regular tyre inflation pressure checks, adjust and report to supervisor.
  • Source technical information from available reference manuals, technical bulletins, and computer-based systems.
  • Initiate actions to prevent the occurrence of equipment non-conformance, identify and record any equipment quality problems, initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through designated channels.
Key Responsibilities
  • Rim and Wheel Assembly Management: Ensure the safe and efficient removal and fitting of rims and wheel assemblies on heavy earthmoving mining equipment.
  • Tyre and Wheel Assembly Management: Remove and refit tyres and wheel assemblies on heavy earthmoving mining equipment in accordance with established procedures.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform regular tyre inflation pressure checks, adjusting as necessary, and report findings to supervisors.
  • Technical Support: Source technical information from reference materials, technical bulletins, and computer-based systems to support maintenance and repair activities.
  • Quality Control: Identify and record equipment quality problems, initiating recommendations for solutions through designated channels.
