Emergency Department Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Emergency Department Consultant to join our team at the Limestone Coast Local Health Network. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and clinical leadership in our respected Emergency Department.
Key Responsibilities- Clinical Excellence: Provide outstanding clinical services to Emergency Department patients, demonstrating leadership and a commitment to a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
- Crisis Management: Deliver expert medical care for inpatients experiencing clinical deterioration after hours, including Code Blue and Code Black situations.
- Professional Standards: Adhere to Regional, Hospital, and departmental policy manuals and documents, and maintain alignment with the standards of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine.
- Education and Training: Engage actively in the teaching of trainee medical officers, interns, medical students, and where applicable, nursing and allied health professionals.
- Quality and Safety: Participate in clinical audits, quality, safety, and clinical risk management activities to continually improve patient care standards.
- Research and Development: Contribute to research initiatives and continuous medical education to advance knowledge and practices in Emergency Medicine.
Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent. Appropriate Specialist Qualifications and registerable with the Medical Board of Australia as Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration.
