Key Responsibilities
  • Skill Enhancement: Support content creators with technical problems and workflow issues, elevating team performance through expert guidance.
  • Workflow Optimization: Improve artist workflows by designing innovative tools and comprehensive documentation, streamlining the creative process.
  • Budgetary Management: Define art budgets and ensure art creation adheres to specifications, maintaining fiscal responsibility.
  • Performance Analysis: Identify performance bottlenecks and propose optimization solutions, refining the gaming experience.
  • Research and Development: Explore new technologies for enhancing visual quality or solving artistic challenges, driving innovation.
  • Shader Development: Create and optimize shaders and post-processing effects, amplifying visual impact.
  • Complex Content Creation: Assist in producing technically involved content such as procedural models, complex visual effects, and simulations, pushing artistic boundaries.

Requirements:

  • Expertise: Proven expertise in game development art creation processes, including knowledge of industry-leading software.
  • Tool Development: Proficiency in developing tools to support artist workflows in Unity and/or Unreal, utilizing programming skills to enhance productivity.
  • Art Creation Tools: Familiarity with developing tools to support art creation in Maya, Motionbuilder, and Photoshop, leveraging software expertise.
  • Profiling and Debugging: Experience in profiling and debugging for art and rendering related bugs or optimizations, applying analytical skills.
  • Shading Knowledge: Familiarity with writing shaders in Cg/HLSL or through node-based editors, demonstrating proficiency in visual scripting.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to multitask, handling multiple priorities effectively.
  • Communication: Strong communication skills with a willingness to collaborate with others, fostering teamwork.
  • Artistic Principles: Strong understanding of modeling and lighting principles, bringing artistic vision to technical endeavors.
